Summary: I was so nervous to go to a foreign country and not stay at an all inclusive nor book with a travel agent. The first place we booked for our trip backed out close to time of departure, turned out to be a huge blessing in disguise. This resort was so beautiful, and huge! You cannot be on the beach but there are plenty of pools. I have a highly sensitive shellfish allergy but had no reaction. We didn’t eat nor drink much at the resort but what we did have was good, on the more expensive side compared to the area but nothing terrible. The cleanliness was beyond expectations and I am very particular. The housekeepers would come around twice a day and always kept our room perfect. The waitstaff at any bar restaurant or pool were very attentive and polite. I felt very safe exploring in the surrounding area. We would Uber because they were so cheap ($3 US for some rides) but the hotel would offer to get us a ride each time. They also have water taxis, and bike taxis if you walk toward the pier. I recommend eating at the local places, but at least getting a massage from the sandbar. The host Anshul Jain was extremely responsive and made me feel so comfortable! Can’t wait to go back!
