“Judy’s place might be the nicest apartment in Playa!! We stayed a total of three nights but wish it could have been much longer. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and everything is in perfect condition. The private rooftop is incredible. Perfect for spending a romantic evening watching the sunset. The pool area is immaculate as well.
The location itself is right where you want to be. Only a five minute walk from the beach and two minutes from 5th Ave. We were happily surprised almost everywhere we had decided we wanted to eat at before coming was only a few minutes walk away.

When you pull up to the hand-wrought iron gates, you'll know you have arrived! Classic Spanish architecture, thoughtful space-planning, and tasteful interior design make this one of the classiest condos in Playa del Carmen.
The penthouse is tastefully decorated with a focus on natural materials making it warm and elegant. Marble floors, mahogany cabinets, and beautiful furnishings abound.
The master bedroom suite features a brick boveda ceiling and a queen-sized wicker bed. The large master bathroom features double sinks, a huge rainwater shower and marble galore.
The guest room has a king-sized bed with a private full bathroom. To provide extra sleeping space, we've added a sleeping loft with a queen-sized bed.
The large rooftop terrace, overlooks the island of Cozumel, the city of Playa del Carmen and the Caribbean Sea... perfect for sunning, drinking, dining, and lounging. Arena Blanca is perfectly situated in the newer North End of Playa on Fifth Ave & Via 38th, an upscale neighborhood with excellent restaurants (including Amate 38 & La Cueva del Chango), and a few minute walk to the shops and restaurants of 'Little Italy' on Fifth Avenue. We are centrally located without being smack dab in the touristy (noisy) downtown.
And the beaches?! Arena Blanca is a 4 minute walk to the famous Coco and Mamitas Beaches. Tall, tan, young, and handsome, you'll find the most beautiful beach-goers in the Mayan Riviera here.
And for the windy days away from the beach, enjoy our beautiful large pool with lounge chairs and a shady island palapa... a perfect place to stay cool especially with a margarita in hand!

'Excellente!' Number one, the place is absolutely kept grounds, great security. Everyone was very friendly. The Penthouse was just stunning..The terrace every morning to drink coffee was so lovely. In the evenings cocktails up on the rooftop was such a perfect way to wind down after a day at the again to start out the evening! Neither of us smoke, but we did have a friend drop by who does, so the rooftop was perfect for that! All in all, ...Perfection!

'Tropical serenity plus cultural ambiance equals paradise!' We had never been to Playa before and were somewhat skeptical after a negative experience to another Mexican vacation hot spot 10 years ago. We were pleasantly surprised and this destination & condo exceeded our expectations in every way. We were traveling with another couple and the spacious condo was a perfect respite from our fun filled days spent touring Mayan ruins, snorkeling, scuba diving, sun bathing & shopping on 5th Avenue. Additionally the owners were attentive to our inquiries & provided us with invaluable information on the area & dining options (they are endless so having some direction was appreciated). I am the 'travel planner' in our group & always remark that I will not return to the same place twice, however after this experience I am tempted to break this 'rule' of mine. The only recommendation I made to the owners was to provide an umbrella for the occasional rain shower (though the beach umbrella we used resulted in more unique photos) and given their attentiveness to their home & guests I am sure that they have already accommodated the suggestion. We have recommended this rental to others and we are confident that should you stay here you will enjoy memories of a fantastic experience for years to come.

“Romantic Honeymoon Get-away” Our honeymoon experience in Playa was phenomenal! We stayed in the 2 bedroom condo at Arena Blanca and felt like we were in a 5 star resort. The condo itself was beautiful and clean (maid came every day), and we loved the rooftop patio. We loved that we were on the less- touristy side of Playa- still right off the main street with access to any modern amenities and trips, but it allowed us to see and experience more of Playa than what you'd ever see from an all inclusive resort. October might not have been the best time to be in Mexico- very humid and rained off and on, but the condo was well air conditioned and we were only a few minutes walk to to beach. The management staff were very helpful- giving us pointers on how to get around town, where to find the best food (and tequila, of course!) and what local spots are not to be missed. My husband and I will definitely return to Playa, and hopefully to Arena Blanca in the future.
