Located just 10 minutes from the east side of Flagstaff, this one-of-a-kind home is your cozy getaway that packs a big punch in a small space. With soaring vaulted ceilings, the 860 square feet of living space has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing visit to our wonderful mountain town. Easy access to I-40 makes it the perfect home base to visit everything that Northern Arizona has to offer!
This home has 2 bedrooms and one bath located above an oversized 2 car garage. Please note that the living space is upstairs. Those with very small children or decreased mobility may not find the stairs ideal. One bay of the garage is used for the owner, but you are welcome to use the second bay!
The main bedroom includes a king bed, a huge walk-in closet, full length mirror, and designated office space. The second bedroom is smaller with a twin day bed and trundle, and an open concept wardrobe. This room is perfect for children, and while it can sleep 2 adults comfortably, it may seem a little tight with the trundle bed pulled out. All beds have brand new mattresses and come with ample linens.
The full bathroom has also been remodeled and includes a large soaking tub/shower to soothe your sore muscles from the day's explorations. Towels and toilet paper are provided.
The main living area has a comfortable couch, wood burning stove (closed for the summer), dining area, and remodeled kitchen with brand new appliances. There is also a coffee/wine bar stocked with Keurig coffee pods and an assortment of tea and hot cocoa.
The living area and master bedroom have smart TV's. With free Wi-fi, feel free to bring your log on info for your Amazon, Netflix, Disney+, HBO etc. accounts to access viewing options. Please be sure to log off of these accounts prior to departure.
The laundry room is located downstairs and includes a brand new, full sized washer and dryer for your convenience.
Check in is contactless and you will utilize a smart door lock with a unique code for entry. This code will be supplied to you on the day of your arrival. The garage utilizes a keypad for access.
Unique to this property is the heated workshop downstairs with a dog door leading to an extensively fenced yard. While pets are welcome, we ask that you leave them in this workshop space if leaving the home. Pets should not be left in the home unattended. They are welcome to use the dog door and roam the fenced backyard. However, we are not responsible for "escape artists", and please make sure they do not cause a nuisance to our wonderfully friendly neighbor!
Important notations:
This home is located on 2.5 acres in the Arizona high desert and is comprised of native terrain associated with that. It is home to many different animals including elk, bunnies, snakes, lizards, and a variety of birds! See if you can spot one of the 3 small native prickly pear cactuses on the property!
We utilize a water delivery service to fill our cistern. A water level gauge automatically sends an alert to our water delivery service when levels run low, but please try to do your part in helping us conserve water and avoid excessive use. Also, please be mindful of what is allowed down the drains, as we utilize a septic system as well.
For those visiting in the warmer summer months: this home has an AC unit placed in the living room and master bedroom during the summer. There is NO AC IN THE 2nd BEDROOM. There are ceiling fans in the master and living room, and a standing fan in the second bedroom.
For those visiting in the winter months: this home is located on a privately maintained dirt road that rarely gets plowed. The east side of Flagstaff typically gets much less snow than other parts, but on the rare occasion that heavy snowfall is received, you may need an all-wheel drive vehicle to ensure access to the property. When the wood burning stove is open, fire logs will be provided for you.
There is no smoking or vaping inside the home. If you must smoke outside, please dispose of your butts properly. AZ is in an extreme draught and even the tiniest spark could ignite a forest fire.
Pets require an additional fee per stay and you are responsible for any incidentals caused by them. Cats, dogs, horses, and many others are welcome! Please contact me for fees specific to your furry friends.
