This beautiful log home retreat is in the sought-after luxury resort of Torreon in the White Mountains. The custom design, high end finishes and rare large hand-stripped timber, local sandstone and river rock construction, all take you back in time, when log homes were meticulously and lovingly constructed the "old fashion way". This home is all about the log experience! A HOT TUB on the outside patio to dip in under the stars, ample seating for al fresco dining, FIREPIT on the front deck, yard games, ping pong in the garage and a beautiful backyard along the stream and pond, all add to the enjoyment of this property.
Renter-friendly check in at 1 pm, check out at 1 pm! 24 hours between guests.
Constructed on 3 levels, the upstairs master features a king size bed with smart TV and master full bath with a corner jetted, garden tub, 2 sinks and walk in shower. Located on the top floor with an open loft with view on the dining room fireplace, it also has a private balcony to enjoy a cup of coffee with a amazing mountain views.
The main floor living room has beautiful (gas starter) wood fireplace, a large screen TV with Direct TV with all the movie channels, new King sleeper. 3 seater sofa, comfy 2 seater and a big chair with ottoman. A bar and coffee station area complete the opportunities for great entertaining. The dining room is has a gas starter, wood fireplace and cathedral ceilings.
The main floor bedroom has a Queen bed with full bath just across the hall with walk in shower and a Smart TV on the wall.
The lower floor has a secluded bunk bedroom with a twin-over-twin, twin trundle bed and a queen bed with a latria ceiling with flagstone floors. The ensuite bath has a sink and wonderful soaker claw foot tub. There is also a small office room, if you have to work while on vacation! Home has excellent free WIFI .
A large open concept kitchen/dining area opens out to the large back deck with views of the nearby stream and pond. The kitchen has everything you need to start cooking: pots, dishes, paper towels, tea towels, Keurig and drip coffee machines, blender, toaster and hand beaters. Gas stove, microwave, electric oven, crock pot and outside BBQ grill provide many cooking options. Safeway grocery store is 5 minute drive in Show Low. The spacious family room, complete with its own custom bar, also opens to the other private deck in the front of the log home with a propane firepit for cozy nights. Extra propane for the BBQ and firepit is in the garage.
This cabin sits on 1 acre of land (exceptionally large for Torreon) with a large gravel back yard leading to a stream and pond. Pets are welcome for a pet fee (check the box in VRBO). There is a ping pong table in the garage and a board games in the living room sofa table.
We can no longer afford to transfer the social amenities of the pool, fitness and family centers to our renters. The golf club is private.
Nestled in the Ponderosa Pines at 6,500 ft altitude, Show Low enjoys all four seasons: with cooler summer temperatures around 80's, beautiful aspens turning golden in the fall and some snow in the winter: it is never a bad time to be in Show Low!!! Sunrise Ski resort is 45 miles from Torreon. There are over 150 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails close by and many public golf courses.
